Welcome to Outdoor Community Partners

At Outdoor Community Partners, we believe in the power of nature to unite and inspire.

Our mission is to support rural community-led nature-based initiatives so that everyone has a place to experience nature every day.

About Us

You may have known us as Montana Access Project, but we’re embarking on an exciting new chapter. We are expanding our reach beyond Montana and deepening our partnerships to better meet the needs of rural community champions. As part of this evolution, we’re embracing a new name and logo that reflects our mission, vision, and values.

We are now Outdoor Community Partners. While our name and logo have changed, our commitment remains steadfast: ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors—every day.

Thank you for your continued support. Stay tuned—there’s more to come!

What We Do

WE GET OUTDOORS

Outdoor Community Partners (OCP) believes everyone needs a place to experience nature every day–to put a fly in the water, take a spin on a bike at lunch, or just take in the quiet of nature. Those natural places keep us healthy, foster economic vitality, and anchor clean air, water, and wildlife. But it’s a challenge to create and maintain those unique close-to-home places–especially when starting at square one and especially in smaller, rural communities.

OCP makes it easier.

We put our expertise to work with community leaders, organizations, businesses, and public agencies to create, protect, and enhance frontcountry outdoor opportunities. From thinking to doing, from simple to complex, we know what it takes to get community-led, nature-based initiatives on the ground.

Our Approach

Our approach is built on decades of experience and demonstrated success.  Our team provides customized tools, trainings, and one-on-one assistance to community projects, small and large, in the areas of project planning, design concepts, fundraising, volunteer programs, land authorizations, public-private partnerships, and expert guidance for operations and maintenance, risk management, policy, and community engagement programs.
